Aric J. Warren, EdD, ATC, LAT, CSCS, CES

Dr. Warren is an Associate Professor in Health and Human Performance at OSU since 2005, with specialization in Athletic Training and athletic health care.  Prior to serving as Head of the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology, he held positons as an Interim Associate School Head, Health and Human Performance Area Coordinator, and director of the Athletic Training program.  He earned his EdD from DePaul University, and holds a Master of Science degree from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Nebraska-Kearney. Aric is currently a member of the USA Track & Field Sports Medicine staff and provides athletic health care at international competitions for US athletes.  He holds several added qualifications and credentials as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; Corrective Exercise Specialist; and manual therapy techniques such as myofascial decompression, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, positional release therapy, and muscle energy techniques. Dr. Warren was the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association National Service Award in 2013.  He has also served as an accreditation Site Visitor for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education since 2003. His research explores patient-centered outcomes and the efficacy of manual therapies in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction; evidence-based practice; and force characteristics of muscle in response to stretching and fatigue.
